Climate adaptation is essential for safeguarding at-risk communities from the impact of climate change. Vulnerable communities are prioritised as decision makers in the initiatives that serve their best needs. At EcoSciGen, we recognize that these communities play key roles in driving solutions that are rooted in their respective reality. We partner with communities to elevate their voices, ensure their local knowledge is valued and incorporated into broader climate adaptation strategies. When we collaborate with them we identify their unique climate challenges and co design solutions that can work for them. We also implement climate adaptation projects, capacity building for these communities to drive climate leadership and participation at the local levels. We strive to improve the livelihood of the most affected people by strengthening their resilience to address loss of livelihood and reduce their vulnerability to the climate crisis. We use the data and insights we have gathered from these communities to inform broader climate policies which make our efforts culturally relevant and locally grounded.
