Research has the potential to pave the way for groundbreaking inventions, yet much of the research conducted in Africa lacks a deep connection to the continent’s realities. Our initiative aims to bridge this gap by empowering a new generation of researchers with the tools to conduct independent African focused research and collaborate across the region. Through this program, we’re nurturing individuals who can conduct quality research in order to drive innovations & inventions that address the unique climate challenges faced by Africa.

The EcoSciGen Climate Research Workshop offers a unique training experience for young people from Africa who are passionate about addressing climate change issues. This 6-month rigorous program is designed to equip young participants with the knowledge and skills needed to become independent researchers in the climate space through intellectual development, capacity building, knowledge sharing and training sessions. At the end of the program all scholars will team up to add to the existing pool of scientific climate knowledge by producing a research paper that will be published in peer reviewed journals.
